Tucked away in the lush landscape of Rancho Queimado, The House in the Enchanted Forest is a serene hideaway where a family comes to unwind, reconnect with nature, and savor the crisp, cold days of the year against a backdrop of peaceful, bucolic views.
When we joined the project, the prefabricated house was still in its early stages. We reviewed the structure and architectural plans, suggesting strategic adjustments before construction began. At 3P Studio, we also designed the interiors for the social areas and bathrooms, along with complementary layouts for the bedrooms.
The design embraced every detail the client considered essential for her new countryside refuge—built on a lot right next to the family’s historic retreat. From the wood-burning stove and fireplace to the barbecue grill and a mezzanine for the grandchildren’s beds, each element was chosen to honor tradition while creating comfort.
Many of the furnishings carry a story of their own. Pieces were carefully restored or repurposed from the family’s old country house, including the dining table’s solid wood top—once a carpenter’s workbench used by the client’s late husband over 30 years ago—and the dining sideboard. These personal touches infuse the home with warmth, memories, and an unmistakable sense of belonging.
