Located within the Esenboga Airport boundaries, the new aircraft and helicopter hangar designed for the Prime Ministry and State Airport Authority of Turkey will have the capacity to simultaneously undertake first grade maintenance to 9 aircraft and 5 helicopters. With an internal column-free span of 100m, the steel structure is made up of four 10,000sqm modules. Externally the structural columns and inclined walls, which house the technical service spaces, are clad in natural stone. The long elevation facing the approach road is clad in opaque and transparent glass panels in aluminum framing. The large sliding doors on the airside elevation are composed of translucent panels to allow maximum daylight inside.
