To meet the requirements of a modern educational environment, the primary school underwent a refurbishment of its interior spaces and was extended by two classrooms and associated teaching resource rooms in the form of a timber tower.
The extension was designed as a compact three-storey volume and is located along the corridor side of the existing school building. Approximately 90 cubic metres of timber were used for the construction.
The structure, consisting of solid timber walls, remains visible within the new classrooms, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Larch timber with a grey stain finish was selected for the slatted façade.
