Studio Strato designed the new restaurant Fornace Stella in Rome, a project expressing the duality of a rustic but dreamy atmosphere. The mood is typical of a local pizza place with a graphic and creative touch, symbolising the regeneration of the neighbourhood. Different interiors follow in sequence, as if telling a story, all connected by the common guideline of the traditional gastronomic product ironically represented by artworks and

set ups.

The entrance immediately shows off the soul of the venue: a big counter coloured in earth tones and black lets you glimpse the pizza oven, with a starry blue wall in the background.

A polished blue resin floor connects the entrance with the second room, in contrast with the exposed bricks of the walls which emphasize the natural authenticity of the place.

The third room features a distinctive red wood paneling, welcoming the visitors in a warm embrace. The wood and marble of the tables complete the comfortable palette. The last two rooms present different colours and materials, and the set up is more intimate and homey, with softer nuances of the typical roman “trattoria” reinterpreted in a contemporary mood.
