Hanging Gardens

With a condominium to its front, a church to its side, and 24-hour eateries at its rear, Hanging Gardens contends with a challenging urban context. On a 38.5-meter deep plot, the design turns inward, centering on a front courtyard of cascading gardens.

Wrapped in a filigree screen, the courtyard is shielded from the condominium while allowing filtered light to create a dappled, semi-shaded environment. This serene space nurtures Ficus Alii, evoking the tranquillity of a forest under-canopy.

More than a visual retreat, the courtyard is where family life unfolds, fostering moments of interaction and calm. This semi-detached house offers a peaceful sanctuary despite its harsh setting.
