Located within a polo horse farm in Helvetia, Indaiatuba, São Paulo, the region is a haven for polo enthusiasts and is considered one of the areas with the highest concentration of official polo fields. This main house was conceived by the owner as a gathering and leisure space to share with friends from the equestrian community and family members. To accommodate this lifestyle, four comfortable suites were designed, including the owners’ master suite, all connected by a terrace.

Set on favorable topography with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, the building is positioned along the central axis of the polo field, directly in front of the infinity-edge pool, offering an exceptional view of the field and the native vegetation beyond. The house consists of a main volume containing the private areas of the country home, and an offset volume arranged along a diagonal axis, housing the social areas — living room, dining room, and gourmet area. This configuration allows the spaces to capture both views of the polo field and the sunset. At the opposite end are the kitchen and staff bedrooms.

Through large openings, all bedrooms overlook the leisure area, with floor-to-ceiling glazing designed to maximize the entrance of natural light and blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces

One of the owner’s main requests for the house was a contemporary architectural language with a steel structure, in keeping with the existing horse stables on the property. Another requirement was for the entire structure to remain exposed. Therefore, the steel columns were left uncoated and highlighted with floor-level lighting, emphasizing their volume and structural presence.

Because the house is located on a lower portion of the site in relation to the stables and horse facilities, a garden was designed over the slab to mitigate the building’s visual impact and integrate it into the surrounding landscape. The green roof also enhances the experience of the property’s beautiful views.
