The clients approached the Architect of their choice with a „set idea“ of how their new family home in Kitzbuehel should look like. The client’s design was gratefully accepted, studied and also queried. Such a „client conception“ is naturally extremely valuable, more so than a written, composed room allocation plan. It reveals the desire for particular room sequences and proportions, as well as preferences regarding space combinations. This idea was therefore handled with great respect, however it was employed as the starting point for an exciting design phase.

Bereits mit einer „fixen Idee“, wie ihr neues Einfamilienhaus in Kitzbühel aussehen sollte, kamen die Bauherren zu den Architekten ihres Vertrauens. Der Entwurf der Bauherrschaft wurde zwar dankend entgegengenommen und studiert, aber auch in Frage gestellt. So ein „Bauherrenentwurf“ ist sehr wertvoll. Viel wertvoller als ein schriftlich verfasstes Raumprogramm, zeigt es ja schon den Wunsch nach gewissen Raumfolgen, Raumproportionen und Vorlieben für gewisse Raumkombinationen. Der Bauherrenentwurf wurde also mit großem Respekt behandelt, war aber „nur“ der wertvolle Ausgangspunkt für eine spannende Entwurfsserie.
