A break away from the Castle These clients spend their day to day life in a castle and in addition felt the need for something modern. A simple cube – ideally, all white – lots of light and space, minimal stylistic elements, wooden flooring with underfloor heating, generous but not oversized spaces in order to be able to fill each room with life and above all warmth. A garden which can also be experienced from within, and a functional layout. A modern villa emerged including generous windows and sliding glass doors. From the interior one looks out over the garden with its pool and terrace towards the historical city view of Kitzbuehel or at the Hahnenkamm mountain with its famous „Streif“ downhill ski race course.
Urlaub vom Schloss Die Auftraggeber verbringen den Alltag in einem Schloss und wollten als Ergänzung dazu eine moderne Villa. Ein schlichter Kubus - am liebsten ganz in weiß - viel Licht und Luft, reduzierte Formensprache, fußwarme Holz-fußböden, großzügige, aber keinesfalls überdimensionale Räume, damit man alle Räume mit „Leben“ füllen und vor allem heizen kann, ein Garten, der vom Innenraum auch erlebbar ist, funktionale Grundrisse. Es entstand eine moderne Villa im Kontext zur „weißen Moderne“, mit großen Fensteröffnungen. Vom Innenraum blickt man wahlweise auf den Garten mit Pool und Terrasse, auf die historische Stadtansicht von Kitzbühel oder auf den bekannten Hahnenkamm samt „Streif“.
