House 66 is a home designed for a young family with three children. It is a renovation of a 1950s bungalow in North Toronto, with a completely new, modern and flexible floor plan.

House 66 embodies a "warm modernism": natural materials in warm tones, cozy furniture, large fireplaces - really a place to hang out and feel comfortable. The mahogany front door is perpendicular to the front wall of the house and enters into an addition onto the original footprint, enclosed almost entirely by windows. From here, the space opens up completely into the family room, dining room and kitchen, separated only by a two-sided fireplace.

The colour palette is minimal and the same materials are repeated throughout on top of the solid, white oak floors. All millwork is a black walnut and all hard surfaces are a nero marquina black marble.

The house has lots of large windows and clean lines. It is bright, open, inviting, and functional.
