The project  concerns a closed building. The house was extended at the rear on the ground floor. Furthermore, the facade on the second floor was insulated and finished in the same way as the new extension.

In the new extension the choice was made to keep the structure in sight. This emphasizes the height, and creates a warmth in the house by showing the wooden latticework. A large skylight emphasizes the boundary between existing and new, creating generous light into the core of the home. A small level difference also emphasizes old and new while creating a transition to the new space.
