"The round thing onto the square thing"

The ensemble of three single-family homes is located in a residential area on Lake Starnberg and was deliberately designed as a unified ensemble using variously arranged rounded elements.

Unfortunately, only the middle building was ultimately implemented with this design element. Rounded elements on balconies, garage canopies, shelters, etc. were intended to contrast with the classic look of a single-family home.

This was achieved by means of pre-greyed wooden cladding, which gives the whole building a uniform character. The rounded elements at the front also serve as passive sun protection and create a certain degree of intimacy through the recesses and alcoves they form.

Here, too, a kfW standard is achieved through an optimally insulated building envelope, heat pump and PV system.
