A “smart vertical community,” Humaniti is a thoroughly modern, mixed-use megaproject, designed in harmony with its pluralistic context. It offers varying degrees of permeability with its surroundings, creating spatial moments. Its thoughtful design succeeds in acting on the human, district and metropolitan scales. Registered for WELL certification, Humaniti’s design and materials meet stringent air and water quality criteria; prefer smart, anti-glare lighting systems; promote physical activity; and incorporate inspiring design features and works of art, combining various biophilic design approaches.
Inspired by the relationship between humans and the urban environment, Hotel Humaniti’s public spaces are free flowing, seamlessly connected and wonderfully centered. Finished and furnished in style, the Hotel public spaces offer a feel-good color palate of custom furniture pieces and curated local artwork. Reflecting then the Quartier des spectacles, home to an impressive number of artworks and performances throughout the year. Many of those specifically curated artworks will be visible from the building, allowing a democratization of these unique pieces. Grounded by an authentic material palate of marble inspired flooring and walls, rich hardwood, venetian plaster ceilings and stone accents there is a clear focus on quality and craft resulting in harmoniously balanced spaces that promote Humaniti’s holistic vision of living well, being well and feeling well. In line with Autograph’s uniquely branded boutique collection, Hotel Humaniti guestrooms offer a curiously crafted experience with comfort and style in mind. Authentic and rich materials, unexpected pops of color, bespoke artwork and bold patterns inspired by humanity and the beauty of nature create a guest experience that is both intriguing yet relatable. Seamless in technology and adaptable to the human experience, the design aims for guests to leave with the feeling of being inspired and in touch.
Lemay_id’s design showcases the bold and distinctive architecture behind this concept, which aims to promote well-being and dialogue among its residents and users. Humaniti is a unique, organic place to live, work, train, entertain and socialize. As Montreal’s first “smart vertical community,” the exciting mixed-use development features a world-class, 4.5-star hotel over 11 floors, with reception and meeting areas, private hall and elevators, beauty spa and outdoor swimming pool with lounge-bar – in addition to the condo and rental units, and restaurants. The development itself is a visual extension of the magnificent Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle inside the lively Quartier International, next to classic Old Montreal and the vibrant cultural scene of the Quartier des Spectacles. Unifying the complex’s multiple vocations, Lemay_id’s condo and rental tower common areas, and restaurants draws on a pluralistic approach where rich and multi-sensory human experiences abound.
