World of Volvo
World of Volvo is a joint venture between Volvo Cars and the Volvo Group. This new 22,500-square-metre experience centre is located in central Gothenburg, the city where Volvo’s journey began in 1927. Designed by Henning Larsen, the project integrates computational parametric design with mass timber. The impressive main structure, made from glued laminated timber (glulam) and cross-laminated timber (CLT), forms three majestic tree trunk-like columns arranged in a mathematical pattern. Spreading outwards, these columns support the roof’s entire mass.

UNStudio’s new Chongqing development balances demand for high-rise living with health and well-being of residents
International architecture and design practice UNStudio has completed 18T Mansion, a high-rise residential development in the city of Chongqing, China. The development addresses the demand for high-rise living in a densely populated urban center while emphasizing a commitment to the health and well-being of its residents. A clear focus on improving living, communal, and recreational spaces resulted in 18T Mansion achieving a WELL Platinum Certification, the first for a residential project in Southwestern China.

Revolution Labs is a 180,000-square-foot life sciences research building located in the evolving innovation cluster of Lexington, Massachusetts. Designed by SGA for Greatland Realty Partners, the project responds to changing expectations around how scientific work environments support people and long-term performance. Alongside the laboratory building, a 150,000-square-foot parking facility completes the development, supporting access while remaining visually integrated.
From the outset, the project was conceived as more than a technical research facility. The brief called for a building that prioritises health, comfort, and everyday experience, while meeting the requirements of contemporary lab use.
