Revolution Labs is a 180,000-square-foot life sciences research building located in the evolving innovation cluster of Lexington, Massachusetts. Designed by SGA for Greatland Realty Partners, the project responds to changing expectations around how scientific work environments support people and long-term performance. Alongside the laboratory building, a 150,000-square-foot parking facility completes the development, supporting access while remaining visually integrated. This large project – which the new offices of Direct covering six floors of the building undoubtedly is – was an interesting challenge when it came to coordinating professions, project documentation and building modifications. The complex stands on an approximately 10,100 m² site and has been built using sustainable, climate and resource-saving techniques, as well as modular hybrid-timber construction techniques.
