This head office is located in a super high-rise building in Lujiazui, Shanghai.
The building’s eastside lies three important buildings of Shanghai, i.e. Jin Mao Tower, SWFC and Shanghai Center. Its northside is IFC and Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, and westside Huangpu River. Standing in the office and looking to the east, a special experience would arise that you feel completely immersed in the right place of financial center in Shanghai.
In this project, the main purpose is bring the unique geographical position indoor and the interaction between outdoor and indoor environment.
This is also one of the three results accomplished. The other two are high-density working area and complex functions of space usage.
The head office is spread in two separated floors. There are several highlights from indoor structure. ‘viewing platform’, though there is no actual platform stretching out, the indoor layout makes ‘sightseeing’ as if it is outdoor. When viewers move, sight changes at the same time. It is how peoples’ behavior get connected with urbans cape.
‘Walk path’ is a penetrating space placed in the lower-story entrance. It ensures interconnected vision and at the same time, feel spacious and bright.
