From the entrance, an intriguing circular art piece made of small human figures greets you, setting the tone for the home’s artistic journey. The curved legs of the console table engage with geometric forms, while wave-like textures on the walls generate a rhythmic visual flow. A tall cylindrical structure in the foyer subtly divides the formal and informal spaces while cleverly concealing the powder room. Clad in DesignHex’s signature alligator skin motif, the powder room evokes nature’s primal beauty, adding an element of raw elegance to the home’s narrative.
The main living area beautifully blends the formal living room, informal lounge, and dining space. Soft greyish-beige lime-washed walls provide a calm backdrop for handcrafted furniture. Earthy tones are complemented by a vibrant rug, and the piece de resistance, the alligator-patterned ceiling, wraps the space in textured luxury. A handcrafted wooden art piece in the centre of the room adds cohesion.
In contrast, the informal lounge draws inspiration from the classic snake game, with terracotta-toned walls adding warmth. The bespoke sofa’s soft curves create a contemporary flow, while the minimalist wooden dining table and chairs seamlessly integrate old-world craftsmanship with modern design. A bold crockery unit evokes ancient grain boxes, adding character.
The master bedroom is a serene retreat with warm wood flooring and a geometric bed inspired by ancient stepwell design. Rectangular headboards and elongated wooden floor patterns subtly reference the iconic Pac-Man game. Tan leather accents in the walk-in wardrobe and sleek glass shutters complete the understated opulence. The parents’ retreat is a room of understated sophistication featuring a hammered golden metal headboard and houndstooth panelling. The ceiling curves above in a gentle form, echo the form of the headboard below. The Murphy bed folds out to accommodate guests when required, while when not in use, the space functions as a peaceful sanctuary for prayer. The room’s understated design is complemented by shutter handles that evoke the feel of knotting ropes, a nod to both tradition and texture. The AV room is a cosy retreat with red recliners and stepped seating, reminiscent of traditional theatres. A low, curved black ceiling creates a cocoon-like environment, ideal for movie nights.
