CARBONDALE collaborated with the renowned Venezuelan optics Artist and Master Carlos Cruz-Diez their first building and boutique for Longchamp. Placed on axis with the entry door of the 30m long Cruz-Diez created the 6m high installation named “Transchromie.” This magnificent work is composed of transparent sheets of intensely colored acetate that rotate individually continually melding to create new colors as they overlap. This project began the collection of Art installations created by Different Artists and CARBONDALE for the Longchamp flagship stores. The diverse reiterations of verticality and spectrums of multi-colors reflect the architecture, the emblematic “pliage” bags and finally the energy and values of the brand.
