HIGHLIGHTED MAD Bars House

Expolight as Light Design

This is an unusual institution, which last week received a unique mark from the jury of one of the most important world competitions in the field of lighting design - LIT Lighting Design Awards 2021!
Mad bars house is five projects in one: each establishment floor has its lighting design, inscribed in the general color palette and style.

The peculiarity of the restaurant is that the higher the floor, the stronger the degree of alcohol that is served there. They are united by a common staircase, where degrees of alcohol are drawn, and the task was to illuminate it in such a way as to create a sense of its volume and integrity.

Buzz Bar is located on the fifth floor. This is a classic American bar with a square bar in the middle of the room, which we illuminated with hidden light sources. There is a stage and a place for a DJ. There is no flooding light in this hall, and the details of the interior and the surfaces of the tables are accentuated. The relief steel sloping ceiling also reflects the chamber's dramatic light.

Sixth floor - Molfar Bar. This is a bright and cozy establishment. Here you can try the mixology of the Ukrainian bar, the ingredients of which are made in our own laboratory from local herbs and plants. Its interior consists of dark glass bottles, an open fireplace, fur, shadows, and a chamber atmosphere.
To emphasize these details as much as possible, we created a flexible lighting system that allows you to transform the space during the day. That makes it possible to change the depth and character of the illumination, make the shadows move, and automatically move the accents.

An independent lighting control system was developed for each space through a controller that controls light scenarios in each restaurant and bar. We integrated them into the general management system of the entire Mad Bar house through our cloud service.
