The plot enjoys a privileged location on the Mar Menor beachfront. The Maritime-Terrestrial Zone line creates a strong and insurmountable diagonal, which provides an excellent opportunity to create oblique lines towards the setting sun. A crisp white volume envelops another gray volume that houses the interior spaces, its function being to regulate and filter sunlight.

The strong setting sun requires deep shading, while filtered and variable sky light is brought into the plan by the placement of five skylights on the eastern façade, which can be opened to create natural ventilation through the stack effect.

The house will be used year-round, so it includes exterior thermal insulation, high-performance metalwork, and advanced climate control systems powered by photovoltaic energy.

The exterior terraces on both floors flow seamlessly into the interior without steps, and with the same finish. The swimming pool is finished in the same material. Sliding doors connect the exterior and interior spaces. The pool water reflects the sun off the facades, and at the end of the day, the reflections are of the Mar Menor itself. The height of the perimeter walls ensures that from the interior, the horizon is always visible.
