Located in the heart of the historic center, the Margaret Hotel Chouleur is an emblematic place of Nîmes heritage. Classified as an historical monument since 2004, the origin of this private mansion is said to be medieval, even if its current appearance dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
Under the impetus of Allegrini Social Club, the new owner and manager, the 4-star hotel has been completely renovated and redecorated by A+Architecture and Nathalie d’Artigues, in order to restore the place’s letters of nobility.
A unique atmosphere, made up of warm colors, a diversity of materials and a wealth of textures, intertwines modern and old styles. If each room has its own identity, defined in particular by a dominant color, all the spaces are unified through a decoration bringing harmony and depth. The restaurant, Rouge, and the bar extend this unique atmosphere, at the crossroads of eras, inspirations and origins.
Project : Rehabilitation, design and decoration of the hotel, listed as an historical monument since 2004. On 4 levels, the hotel has 10 rooms/suites, the restaurant Rouge, a bar, a reception, an open-air main courtyard, a swimming pool, a library, a meeting room and two offices – including a branch of the A+Architecture agency – a fitness room, a massage room and staff accommodation
