Inspired by the protected untamed nature on the island of Hvar, Léonie Alma Mason designed interior spaces combining luxury and serenity. Here, luxury is in the details and in the outstanding service. “It was essential to use natural materials, to create a peaceful, elegant ambience.” The interiors exist in symbiosis with the outside, like the reception desk made of Brač stone (cracked, but repaired according to the kinstugi technique), and the use of exotic wood, which echoes the pine forest and creates an interplay of light with the sun.
The darker palette of colors used in some parts of the hotel was inspired by the shadows cast by the surrounding pine trees, when the sun is at midday. This motif also appears in the black terracotta on the walls and the tables made of olive black lava stone.
To infuse a touch of warmth and a festive vibe to the hotel’s restaurant and bar, Léonie Alma Mason opted for terracotta, bronze mirrors, exotic wood and glass lamps. Ethereal, white curtains float throughout the common areas as well as in the guest rooms, providing lightness and a fresh feel.
For the interior designer, “the luxury here resides in the large spaces, the magnificent environment and the use of local and natural, noble materials. Each detail was scrupulously designed and specially manufactured to provide the best possible guest experience, for a beautiful and easy-going stay, even though this is a five-star hotel.”
The hotel has 50 rooms and suites, each creating the sensation of being outside, even when inside.
Three private villas are also available, featuring ample indoor and outdoor living spaces.
