This Farmhouse is a modern fresh take on architecture and design. Linc used crisp cool colors and stylish accents with a very edited eye. The materials and detailing took cues from the vernacular architecture with shiplap, reclaimed woods, subway tiles and barn doors. Linc created a very crisp and neutral envelope and used pops of color to accentuate architectural detailing like the blue barn doors and kitchen cabinetry. The residence is built for a family to have fun. Linc took design risks that were playful and cheerful. Much of the furniture was custom designed and built to create character for the home.
The 2500 sqft residence is a second home for a Chicago family located in Grand Beach Michigan just an hour outside of Chicago. This is the couple's home away from home- their summer retreat. The property faces a golf course and is a stone's throw away from the beach. The community is kid and golf cart friendly with luscious lawns, porch swings and a pool. This large lot is a rarity near the beach.
