Modern Wine Bar

Modern Wine Bar in Montenegro

Salt & Water as Architects

This is the interior design of a modern wine bar developed for clients from Montenegro. The bar will be based in the Bay of Kotor, a favorite place in the world for some of us from the studio, which means we were very excited to start working on this project. The interior will soon be finalized, but until we get the final photos, here are the project visualizations.

After some thought, our clients chose the everlasting theme of combining natural elements with an interior. This is why the wood and greenery are present in so many forms in the interior, altogether with wine-related products and imagery. There are numerous flowerpots, even several custom-made elements like floral chandeliers.

Besides drinks and sweets, this bar is offering a number of local meals, all made in the kitchen behind the counter. The counter itself is massive. Set in front of the entrance it dominates the room, just like in every local bar.

One of our favorite details of this bar is its floor covered with both modern- and retro-looking patterns. The other detail that makes this interior, even more, fun is the kitchen-inspired wall decoration. In the separate area, there is even a wall sign made of wine corks. Beside that is a board on which chef’s specialties will be written every day.

Guests will be able to sit on three types of chairs: on regular ones, on bar stools and in a booth.
