Neptune North is carving out a distinctive space in financial services technology. The firm delivers software development and consulting to businesses across financial services and alternative investments. It operates as a joint venture between Oliver Wyman, part of Marsh McLennan, and Rokos Capital Management, a global alternative investment manager.
With rapid growth on the horizon, Neptune North set out to create a workplace that could match its ambition. The team partnered with ADT Workplace to design and deliver a modern office in Newcastle that supports performance, attracts talent, and scales with the business.
A fast-tracked transformation
The project followed a focused 12-week programme, with ADT Workplace providing a full turnkey solution. The brief centred on creating a flexible, high-performing environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Across 10,172 sq ft, the space introduces a mix of working styles. Open-plan desking sits alongside collaborative zones, social areas, and fixed workstations. Each element responds to current needs while allowing room for future expansion.
Designed for people and performance
The finished workspace balances functionality with wellbeing. Breakout areas and shared zones complement high-spec media walls and integrated AV systems, enabling seamless communication across teams.
A dedicated wellbeing room adds a quieter space for reflection and balance. This feature supports employee experience in a sector where pace and pressure are often high.
The design language reflects Neptune North’s identity. Scandinavian influences bring warmth and clarity. Natural tones, biophilic elements, and carefully selected materials such as mesh screens create a refined, contemporary setting that aligns with the company’s tech-led focus.
Collaboration at every stage
Delivery relied on close coordination between ADT Workplace, Neptune North, and external partners. Early involvement from AV and IT specialists ensured smooth integration of technology across the office.
Collaboration extended to consultants Summers Inman and the landlord’s management team. This joined-up approach helped maintain quality and consistency throughout the fit-out.
Technology at the core
Technology plays a central role in Neptune North’s operations, and the workspace reflects that priority. Integrated AV systems, smart meeting areas, and resilient IT infrastructure support daily activity and long-term growth. These elements were delivered in partnership with Techary.
The building itself carries a BREEAM Excellent rating, driven by strong mechanical and electrical performance. This allowed the project to align with wider environmental standards without additional certification.
