Nestled in a tranquil suburban landscape, OM House is a living space born from a dialogue between modern architecture and the primordial beauty of its natural material palette. The project was developed from the client's desire for a home that not only meets functional comforts but also fosters a profound connection with nature.

The design solution is articulated through two distinct yet interconnected volumes. The main block, housing the primary living functions, adopts a modern architectural language characterized by minimalist lines, open-plan spaces, and expansive glazed openings. In contrast, the garden block presents a more modest, rustic character. This programmatic division creates a sequence of varied spatial experiences while optimizing natural ventilation throughout the entire structure.

The defining characteristic of OM House lies in its meticulously curated palette of raw, rustic materials. The project is enveloped by a continuous, elongated stone wall, which establishes a clear boundary between the private interior and the external context.

Juxtaposed with the roughness and solidity of the stone is the warmth and softness of natural wood. Wood is present in the brise-soleil, door details, interior furnishings, and the outdoor decking, creating visual balance and infusing warmth into the living spaces. This combination of wood and stone evokes a familiar tropical vernacular, reminiscent of traditional houses yet reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Rather than concealing the structure, the architects chose to celebrate the raw beauty of concrete, leaving its exposed surfaces and characteristic gray hue. This approach creates a compelling contrast with the other natural materials, while underscoring a spirit of honest, unadorned architecture.
