(Open Morphology)The project originated from a fundamental question:How can a house be designed to accommodate several generations of a family, while safeguarding individual privacy and autonomy? A dwelling that is not merely a shelter, but a platform for diverse activities, social interactions, and the creation of shared memories.

This question became the point of departure—a search for equilibrium between coexistence and independence, between collective life and individuality.The answer was sought in the notion of Open Morphology. The idea was to envision the building not as a closed and static volume, but as a dynamic and rotational structure. A form capable of reorienting itself to generate independent spaces for each generation, while simultaneously preserving visual connections and diverse perspectives.

Through this approach, the house becomes a living matrix: each generation inhabits its own domain, yet remains interwoven within a spatial and visual network of relationships.Rotational Massing: The organization of volumes ensures that each family unit enjoys its own outlook and private open space.  Aerial and Visual Boundaries: Privacy is secured through terraces, balconies, and varied openings, while indirect visual connections sustain intergenerational awareness.  

Functional Flexibility: Spaces are adaptable and multi-purpose, ranging from shared living areas to workshops, study rooms, or children’s play zones.  Simplicity and Scalability: The concept is designed to be straightforward and replicable, applicable across scales—from private residences to social or affordable housing projects.Om House is not only a residence for a multigenerational family, but also a prototype for the future of housing in contemporary societies. A model that:  Reinforces social dynamism through spatial design.  

Enables individual autonomy alongside collective coexistence.  And ultimately, through simplicity and scalability, can be implemented within broader frameworks of social and economic housing. Om House embodies architecture as a shared language of generations. A dwelling that, through open morphology, simultaneously accommodates collective memory and personal independence.
