The renovation of an existing apartment involved the exposing of old histories as a means of understanding it as a palimpsest. The project is characterised by the articulation of the multiplicity of materials used during its construction which otherwise were hidden behind layers of plaster. Exposed brick and concrete along with metal and glass form the dominant material palette. Artisanal detailing and a multiplicity of textures give the project its distinctive visual character.
