The headquarters of Panta, a manufacturer of elevator interior panels, is located on a mid-level floor of a building on Nahid Boulevard in Tehran. This small-scale project covers approximately 180 square meters and consists of two adjacent, independent units. The initial conditions presented clear constraints: prefabricated partitions, fixed walls, and a structural layout that limited spatial flexibility.

The key design inspiration came from the elevator itself — usually a vertical connector between floors. We challenged the conventional notion of verticality and explored the idea of horizontal spatial layering. Instead of stacking floors upward, we imagined architectural layers sliding next to each other horizontally. This created a unique spatial experience where light and shadow transition gradually across the space, emphasizing horizontal continuity rather than vertical separation.

A major design decision was removing the dividing wall between the two units. This not only improved functional integration but also created a continuous flow from the entrance to the showroom. The showroom was transformed from a simple product display into a dynamic space that connects visually and functionally with other areas.

Materials, textures, and lighting were carefully selected to reinforce this concept. Semi-reflective surfaces, contrasts between light and dark tones, and a controlled horizontal arrangement of elements help to create a rich atmosphere full of depth and movement.

Panta is a compact yet thoughtful project that transforms an industrial workspace into a meaningful architectural environment, offering users a fresh spatial experience rooted in simplicity and coherence.
