This project is a prime example of how aesthetics and engineering genius can triumph over the most daunting architectural constraints. Our ambitious task was to transform a technical basement of a private house, located directly beneath the concrete shell of a swimming pool, into a luxurious wine cellar and multi-functional space.
The main challenge lay in the extreme baseline conditions—the ceiling height was just over two meters, and the risky proximity to the pool's "wet" zone demanded uncompromising thermal insulation to protect the fragile wine collection. The structural setup required us not only to conceal massive water supply and ventilation utilities but to do so with absolute safety under a severe deficit of space.

We turned every technical obstacle into a unique design solution. All the complex engineering was flawlessly integrated into the walls and ceiling, while the service hatches and doors for equipment maintenance blended so seamlessly into the surroundings that they became completely invisible, maintaining the overall purity of the interior lines. To establish an ideal microclimate, we developed a custom climate control system. Instead of merely being hidden, the bulky cooling grilles became a standalone, elegant decorative element harmoniously integrated into the geometry of the walls.

A particular point of pride in this project was the ultra-efficient use of volume. We even utilized the "dead" sloped space directly beneath the pool shell, integrating hidden rolling drawers for homemade preserves and pickles. This clever feature allowed us to zone the room perfectly and squeeze the absolute maximum out of every single centimeter.
Ultimately, we succeeded in creating a visually spacious, secure, and premium environment, proving that rigid constraints are not a barrier, but the finest catalyst for creating bespoke, signature design.
