Visualization by 100CGI Studio of a railway building concept in Germany, made at competition stage. Seven exterior views were delivered in five days, with two revision rounds inside that window.
The brief asked for a station that reads as established and historic while it works as a modern transit building. At competition stage that has to come across in a handful of frames, so the images carry the argument for the design rather than documenting it.
Concept work runs on deadlines nobody can move, and the images are counted in days rather than in polish. A jury remembers one image; the others exist to prove the idea holds from more than one angle. That is why the hours went into mood, scale and one memorable frame, and into the way light catches the masonry and people move across the concourse, rather than into detail that nobody had settled yet.
Both revision rounds were about atmosphere, not geometry. On a concept the massing is the one thing already decided, and everything above it is still open.
Rendered in 3ds Max and Corona, with Forest Pack for the planting. Full case study: Henn railway station concept.
