Unnecessary parts are removed, such as seen in the inclined upper part of the external wall, to let the light radiate into the whole house. Any feeling of oppressiveness from the closeness of the adjacent houses is also relieved. The internal walls of the living and dining rooms where the family gathers were removed so that the rooms open wide towards the courtyard that was created by the external walls, eliminating the borderline between inside and outside.

It is as if the courtyard was inside the house, or the house was a part of the courtyard. The external wall is unified with one-colored cement boards. This unification produces the sense of openness and creates a pleasant feeling of comfort, with a seemingly endless veranda. Natural wood is used for the external louvers and deck, enriching the expressions of the house. The color of the wood changes over time and will become a part of the family atmosphere.
