This house is a space for Cheong-su, the religious leader of Won-Buddhism. It keeps her retired life and materials of her activities so far. The building is connected to the mountain ridge, so I created a long space. It was a simple repetition but as there were spaces in between, I hoped that Ms. Cheong-su could enjoy relaxing contemplations.

The long data room and the round spiritual space hold all her memories and keep everything she has safe. I was striving to create time by letting in sunlight and wind; and spaces through inclusion of the changes of the scenery. A space leaves empty so as to fill everything. It’s not decorated so is she. It’s natural the house resembles a resident of its own.
