acdf architecture as Architects

The Library project of the Saint-Hubert borough should pay particular attention to issues of architecture, site organization and development potential while providing a strong visual presence on the boulevard Cousineau and the Parc de la Cité. It must ensure consistency of buildings throughout the territory adjacent to construction quality, respect for the historical identity of the region, recognition of the aquatic theme, memory and landscape characteristics of sensory Parc de la Cité.

Our proposal aims to define a single concept of development that integrates perfectly with its environment. It reflects a distinctive architecture and contemporary while freeing atmosphere conducive to reading and concentration by the use of noble materials such as stone, wood, water, glass and textured concrete. The general objectives of the set are as follows: Composition of a quality project that stands out positively in terms of architecture, urbanism, landscape and environment; Ensure a high visibility on the boulevard Cousineau day and evening; Propose a plan that will ensure a comprehensive dialogue with the natural components of the site and the regional landscape memory; Implement the building to act as a threshold for the park; Enhance the aquatic theme park of the City; Propose a flexible concept that will ensure the sustainability of the project and architectural design while allowing evolution; Propose a simple and effective planning that will allow the project within the predetermined budget.
