Scouts House

The building is an ampliation of the scouts’ house and is located at the grove of poplar-trees contiguous to the churchyard. This place is situated at a lower level and has an existing house with a threshing floor, in relation with the North valley towards the river.

The program, though functionally elementary, doubles the existing built surface. Therefore the new building is located at North taking advantage of the height between the threshing platform and the terrain. This location and the solution of one plan only permits an almost total dilution within the exterior green space – from the churchyard one only sees the roof plan.

There are four rooms aligned along an external gallery. It is situated between the existing building and the rooms and creates relationships not only with the grove at South, through stairs, but also with the remaining terrain, through the East ramp. Inbetween the rooms there is the access to the lower plan and the toilets. At the lower level there is a small storage room and toilets for parochial activities taking place at the grove.
