The first impression given is that this is a purely "inward looking" house with a few openings. Actually, they are placed sparingly to protect from intense north-facing winds but also to maintain the privacy from the adjacent buildings. Upon entering the house the repetition of white and gray creates a plain background allowing the adjustment of colored objects that otherwise would not match with each other. The selected materials as well as the way they are combined give a very modern effect. The entrance door with pivot instead of hinges, the roofs with black squared spots, the air-conditioning slits and the inox recess in the wall instead of skirting are some of the prevalent details. The key element of the interior is the metallic staircase connecting the levels. Made of iron and cut by laser it looks like dangled as it is not supported by the walls, while the ropes that follow the height of 11 meters emphasize this effect. The achieved transparency via a such fine construction boosts brightness inside the residence.
