The new SG Campus

Seel Bobsin Partner - sbp as Architects

Société Générale's two subsidiaries in Hamburg, BDK and Hanseatic Bank, were previously spread across six locations in the city, with a total office space of around 19,000 square meters and around 1,170 workstations. The main aim of their merger/joint relocation was to increase the efficiency of space utilization, reduce rental space and costs, and create a progressive, sustainable building with flexible space solutions.

In addition, employees were to be provided with more comfort and service through a modern and attractive working environment with high-quality interior design and various meeting and retreat rooms. Another objective was to create an inviting overall concept that includes an SG campus, which strengthens employee loyalty and identification with Société Générale.

The new location is a new building in the Barmbek district of Hamburg, located between the Stadtpark and City-Nord in Fuhlsbüttler Straße. It consists of two basement floors and five upper floors and offers around 20,200 square meters of space. The project, developed by ECE, aimed to create a modern and attractive office campus with around 1,700 workstations and a two-storey underground garage with around 350 parking spaces.
