The new skatepark is located within an existing public park in the centre of the city. It is an extensive horizontal platform bounded to the west by a slope and a hedge. The project occupies about 3650 square meters that are used for skateboarding. The project aims to promote healthy habits and practicing sport within a natural environment.

The new sport facility is next to an old skate plaza, which has been integrated to the project after a deep remodeling, and a multi-sports court which has been transformed into a new roller rink. The complex is completed with the construction of a bowl and some skateable elements that respect the existing natural landscape and trees.

The new public space consolidates itself as a meeting place that aims to improve people's quality of life. The central archway offers a friendly transition between the urban environment and the new viewpoint from which it is possible to contemplate the mountains, hidden by the hedge until now.

In order to minimize environmental damages, different measures have been adopted. The excavated natural terrain has been reused in different parts of the project, minimizing waste generation. Besides, high-efficiency lighting system with programmable regulation has been installed and finally, low water demand trees and shrubs have been planted in combination with an adjustable drip irrigation system.
