Spendrup's recently established headquarters in Norrtull, Stockholm, features office spaces, meeting rooms, and social areas adorned with beer and wine bars, all set in a pleasant atmosphere with meticulously planned lighting. To address the challenge of illuminating an older architecturally designed building with limited natural light, Annell from LED Luks provided Noox spotlights and pendant luminaires such as ILO and Apollo.
The relocation of Spendrup's office to the centrally located Grönstedtska palatset in Stockholm, originally designed by architect Cyrillus Johansson in 1923 for Vin- & Spritcentralen, presented an opportunity to blend its heritage in beverage handling with modern office requirements. However, transforming older structures, previously warehouses and production facilities, into contemporary offices often requires thoughtful lighting solutions to compensate for the absence of natural light.
In Spendrup's premises, office areas, meeting spaces, and social zones featuring beer and wine bars now boast a delightful ambiance enhanced by well-designed lighting. Notably, the office recently earned recognition as one of "Sweden's most stylish offices."
The primary approach in lighting design revolves around a flexible strategy, incorporating directional lighting from Noox spotlights complemented by suspended luminaires. At workstations, black lacquered ILO pendant luminaires with up and down light distribution ensure excellent visual comfort, aided by microprism glare protection for downward illumination.
The Apollo round pendant luminaires, with a diameter of Ø450mm in matte black lacquer, feature a slightly elevated light opening shielded by opal white acrylic. All luminaires, including the ILO pendant luminaires, are dimmable via DALI controls.
