Stelliant Brings Paris Teams Together Under One Roof in La Défense
The Move
Stelliant, a major player in French insurance services with offices nationwide, recently reorganized its Paris-area presence. Previously split between three locations — Puteaux, Colombes, and the 9th arrondissement — the company's new leadership chose to merge everything into one address: Tour Légende in La Défense, spanning 4,300 m² over three floors.
A Workplace Built for Connection
The driving idea behind the move was simple: get everyone under one roof. Beyond logistics, the relocation became an opportunity to dissolve departmental silos and create more natural opportunities for collaboration.
This shows clearly in the shared spaces. Break areas and lounges feel residential rather than corporate, with soft color palettes, comfortable textures, and inviting furniture that encourage people to linger and connect.
The broader floor plan mixes open-plan zones, private offices, meeting rooms, and enclosed pods in varying sizes. Despite the architectural limitations of a high-rise tower, the layout supports both spontaneous chats and structured work — some areas feature low seating arrangements ideal for casual conversations, while others retain a more conventional office feel.
Given that Stelliant operates close to a hundred sites across France, the design team wanted the headquarters to echo that nationwide footprint. Each meeting room carries the name of a French city, with window graphics depicting that location — a subtle nod to the company's geographic reach.
A Fresh Visual Identity
Beyond functionality, the project also served a branding purpose: signaling a new era for the company under fresh leadership. Selecting a newly renovated tower in La Défense was itself a statement, but the interior design choices carry much of that message.
A standout feature is the Solaris room near the entrance — a striking space with a large screen and curved, amphitheater-style seating, suited equally to creative workshops and high-pressure decision-making sessions.
Throughout the workspaces, flexibility is a recurring theme: varied desk configurations, adaptable seating, strong connectivity, and furniture that can be reconfigured easily — all geared toward supporting today's hybrid working patterns.
Navigating the Constraints
Like most consolidation projects, this one came with a strict timeline driven by lease expirations on the former sites.
Tour Légende's status as a high-rise building added another layer of complexity, since such towers come with specific regulatory and administrative requirements that inevitably extend project timelines.
Despite these pressures, ARCH.DESIGN delivered the entire project in under nine months.
