Sukriti

Welcome to ‘SUKRITI’. The space is beautifully created for us as well as for client. In this project we, as a designer, entered midway when construction was done without any finishes. We get the opportunity to think and create the entire look the way we want. Our journey to transforming that empty unfinished space into making a home was very exciting. The whole idea of creating each space was to make it live and liveable for many years. We get the chance to design spaces for three different age groups.

Our first idea was to showcase the overall ambiance through joint less grey flooring except for the teenager's room. We wanted to create a completely different look and feeling for kids and to do so we have chosen a sparkling yellow colored ‘Jaisalmer Stone’ flooring for the most energetic age group. Each bedroom is designed by keeping different generations in mind.

The parent’s bedroom is designed with minimal furniture, classy ambiance and complementary wall decor. We intended a high bed back with a shuttle color palette. A yellow high chair is catching all the attention when someone enters the room.

As we have already explained about the kid's bedroom's yellow flooring, we have selected the rest of the materials, wall decors and ceiling treatments accordingly. One corner of the room with a green background and hanging lights helps to generate a mood where someone can spend personal time. The RCC finished ceiling added a natural look. All the color combinations are taken in such a way which compliments the flooring. We have given a study unit in teak look to add a more natural atmosphere.

Master's bedroom is designed very sensitively with warm colors. We have generated a contemporary look with modern finishing materials. We shaped the space within space for different moods to make someone comfortable and relaxed.

Coming to the common spaces like living room, kitchen, dining area, passages and the area around staircase, overall compositions of furniture, finishing materials, wall treatments, color combinations and art pieces are all different from each other and still synchronised well. The RCC texture on the TV unit wall is well blended with wooden and highlighted yellow-coloured open box. The other side is a double height rough textured wall highlighted with customized green-color resin art frames with decorative focused light in the centre. We have used green sofa fabric to give a vibrant feeling to the double-height space.

The dining table is the space where all the family members are seated together at least twice a day, so we needed to make it more lively and to do that, we chose an ocean theme on the dining table-top, which was created through resin art. Light blue printed fabric chairs and a display wall are added to compliment the customised artwork. All are perfectly combined together to make that space more connected.

The outdoor ambience is shaped in such a way that blends with the overall idea and look of the house. ‘SUKRITI’ is an example of how to craft an empty space with different elements and colour combinations. Each element and décor are used to give different vibes to each space.
