The House — Black Is Black presents the next stage in the life of the original The house in Silesia.
Several years after its completion, the light timber facades were transformed into a uniform black exterior, and a new connector was introduced between the previously separate volumes.
The intervention preserves the project’s simple ridge-roofed forms, functional organization, and relationship with the landscape, while giving the complex a stronger and more unified identity.
Rather than creating a new house, the transformation continues the original architectural idea and shows how its character has evolved over time.
