The site is facing the green park, with a long and narrow shape facing the east. In order to bring the wind into the interior and to bring in as much light as possible, we chose to incorporate the " Atrium " into the building as a node of connection between people and the flow of nature.
From the main space of the studio in the front, we enter the atrium, where the Cojoba arborea and the light from above accompany the family's daily life of reading, playing, and gathering with friends.
Unlike the usual specifications for wood-framed houses, the studio and the main living room in the front part of the building are designed with large-span portal frames (large section beams and columns), which reduces the configuration of shear walls, making the space more spacious and connecting more freely with the atrium.
