A semi-derelict Arts & Crafts house has been given a new lease of life and added value. The house makes a positive contribution to the conservation area and has been subject of complex planning negotiations.
The proposals include a new basement under the existing house and a sensitively designed rear Ground floor extension which picks up the materials and detailing of the main house and greatly enhances the living spaces. In the landscaped garden, a poor quality shed is replaced with a separate timber clad garden room of sleek, contemporary design.
KSR also prepared full interior proposals for the principal living spaces. The designs feature clean lines, a modern aesthetic, and neutral calming tones throughout.
