Redevelopment Transitorium has passed project between Oud & Nieuw The Transitorium in Zwolle is a special redevelopment project with 41 social housing apartments and 9 social housing units. It is located in a beautiful spot on Zwolle City Grave at the location of the former Isala Clinics, the Weezenlanden. The architecture is characterized by clear lines and beautiful details. Special is the 'switching function' between the tight court building and the adjacent land-based homes.
The project is a development of Delta Wonen and real estate developer Novaform. SVP Architecture & Urban Planning signed the design and the KlokGroep takes care of the realization. The style in the image quality plan is described as 'contemporary traditional'. With this in mind, SVP designed an apartment building with a tough appearance. A self-conscious look alongside the modern and very tight court building on the left and the grounded homes on the right. The architecture and detailing seamlessly adjoins the atmosphere of the district.
Beautiful details and lots of light The stone choice and the roofs make the building an obvious part of the area. And those looking closer look striking details like the subtle shifts in the brickwork and a so-called rolling layer, intended for housing bats. The light is also very well looked after, and the apartments are known for their excessive light intensity.
The large window frames have chosen the 30 minute ALUK fire-fired aluminum frames with harmonized brackets, a four-way distribution and rotary element. It is the Themis window and door system with very high strength by 30% larger wall thickness. It is often used in replacing steel frames in old factory buildings, schools and mansions. The very slim profile gives an authentic look to renovation and new construction projects and fits perfectly in the Transitorium building.
