Valo Office Floor, Dublin

Visualization by 100CGI Studio for an institutional landlord: Valo, a 350 sq m office floor plate in Dublin, built entirely in CGI as 6 stills and a 360 hotspot tour. The work took 15 days.

An empty shell is one of the hardest things in commercial property to let. A tenant looking at bare concrete and a glazing line is being asked to work out circulation, density, daylight and finish quality all at once. Most cannot, so they hesitate, offer low, or go and view a competitor's fitted space instead.

The tour removes that step. A prospect in another country stands in the finished workspace before anyone books a flight, and moves through it at their own pace.

That freedom makes a tour unforgiving. In a still image the studio chooses the angle; in a tour the viewer stops wherever they like and looks as long as they like, from any direction, so there is nowhere for a cheap texture to hide. Every material was calibrated from scratch, from the grain of the oak joinery to the gloss of the glass partitions. The hotspots were then sequenced so a prospect walks the floor rather than teleporting around it.

Rendered in 3ds Max and Corona. More projects from the city: 3D rendering in Dublin. Full case study: Valo.
