The topics of the project are the integration of architecture with nature, low budget, passive bioclimatic and reuse.
The main space of the restaurant is developed on an abandoned terrace: is covered with a light and economical structure. Existing columns and metal beams are reused. The structure is painted white, like the brick's walls, to confer the maximum of luminosity, to increase the climatic comfort and to give prominence to the various shades of green of the natural elements.
A system of metallic cables is positioned on top of the cover, in order to support and to allow the growth of plants that have the function of generating an ecological and protective layer: a double skin that allows block the sun's rays before reaching contact with the artificial materials and thus prevent the heating of the internal space.
The Restaurant is dichotomous: the lower part is stereotomic, for the private activities, like the preparation of the food. The upper area is permeable and social.
Here the artificial design almost disappears: it is reduced to a system for the growth of natural elements. An architecture made by hidden containers -for the roots of the plants- and by simples lines that extend the green system towards the sky.
The definition of the furniture's elements was chosen for the recovery, rehabilitation and transformation of second-hand elements: lamps, tables, chairs; all reused, repainted and positioned in a strategic way.
