Situated in one of the city's busiest arteries in the heart of one of the most well preserved historic centers in Portugal, the building will close / sew a front street connecting at thee same time two existing buildings.
With a fairly simple program, retail and offices, we sought to develop the plastic side of the building. The proximity to the sea made us incorporate the movement of waves into the facade. The facade besides filtering light, allows different perceptions of the building depending on the speed at which it is traversed, on foot, bicycle or car. This interaction between the architecture and user introduces a dynamic object static in nature.
