Villa Chadi is planned in Casablanca, in Ain Diab neighborhood, on a corner plot oriented north-south. The clients wanted a warm yet modern house, with full connexion with the garden and nature and a smooth and efficient functionnality. The plan is organized around a core/staircase thus releasing a family room and a counter on the northwest side and a spacious, open reception on the south side, overlooking the garden and the swimming pool.

This central volume makes it possible to articulate all the spaces by creating a flexible distinction between public and private, serving spaces and served spaces as well as to trace fluid circulations. A set of sliding planes and panels makes it possible to regulate views and transparencies, the entrance itself being made up of a double sequence of sliding planes, one opaque and dark and the other in opalescent glazing.

The space thus plays with superposed plans, sequences and successive perspective views. The whole is generously glazed over the green spaces and is punctuated by dark-colored walls. The horizontal lines are taut and white and are part of the Casablanca tradition. A set of silver sunscreen protects the master bedroom from the excessive west sunlight and highlights the horizontal lines.  A palette of materials completes the composition: pale blue and ocher, creating an almost pictorial whole with the blue of the sky and the green of the vegetation.
