Located within the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, VNTG was designed by Broadway Interiors and built by Design Infinity, transforming the former La Farine venue into a contemporary wine and dining destination centred around a modern interpretation of the wine cellar.
The project transforms the space through a complete spatial and visual reconfiguration, shifting away from the identity of a traditional café toward a more immersive enoteca-style experience. The concept is rooted in a “cellar mindset” that prioritises openness, social interaction, and discovery, encouraging guests to engage with wine in a more approachable and experiential way. At the heart of the interior is a full-height wine display featuring backlit shelving and climate-controlled cabinets, establishing a strong architectural focal point while reinforcing wine as both a product and a defining design element.
The material palette combines timber panelling, natural stone, fluted detailing, and layered textures to create a warm and intimate atmosphere throughout the venue.
Carefully integrated joinery and ambient lighting contribute to a sense of craftsmanship and permanence, while the reconfigured layout introduces a sequence of connected yet distinct zones tailored to different dining and social experiences. A central tasting table anchors the space with a more curated, sommelier-led interaction, surrounded by lounge and dining areas softened through banquette seating, upholstered finishes, and low-level lighting. The addition of a dedicated retail and cheese counter further expands the guest experience by blending hospitality and retail into a seamless environment. Through considered lighting design, tactile materiality, and spatial layering, the project creates a venue that transitions fluidly from daytime dining to evening social gatherings while reflecting the evolving character of Dubai’s contemporary hospitality scene.
