With its new headquarters in Munich’s vibrant Werksviertel district, WACKER Chemie AG has created more than just a new workplace - it has defined a future-oriented culture of collaboration, flexibility and innovation. Designed by SCOPE Architekten, the interior concept translates the company’s guiding principle "Connect – Collaborate – Create" into spatial reality. The result is a flexible and expressive work environment that brings WACKER’s identity to life through materials, atmosphere and architecture.

The move from the company’s former headquarters in Neuperlach to the urban setting of the Werksviertel represents a deliberate shift in mindset. Fixed workstations have been replaced by a diverse mix of open-space zones, creative rooms, meeting lounges and coworking areas. Spread across five floors and 10,000 square meters, the WACKER House offers inspiring places for both focused individual work and collaborative exchange - from the Knowledge Lounge to the Digital Hub and the multifunctional Business Lounge.

At the heart of the building lies the generous lobby with a sculptural open staircase. It serves as a central meeting space for town halls, events and spontaneous interaction. From there, the spatial experience unfolds: the first floor features a Workcafé with barista bar, meeting rooms and informal lounges. On the ground floor, a publicly accessible showroom provides insight into the company’s innovations and history, while a modern food court turns lunch breaks into social experiences - complete with neon signage, natural materials and industrial detailing.

A special highlight is the Creative Room: a flexible studio space with writable chalkboard walls, designed for brainstorming, agile workshops and innovation sessions. Even here, WACKER’s identity is woven into the design - from embedded chemical formulas in textured plaster to graphical references in custom elements.

The material language is warm and precise: concrete, wood, textiles and WACKER’s own products create a subtle yet tangible brand presence. A reception desk made of engineered stone infused with polysilicon, chemical piping details in the walls and chalkboard finishes embed the company’s DNA into the space. Sustainability also plays a central role: WACKER House meets LEED standards and uses durable, recyclable materials throughout.
