The operation was delivered in 2021. While still in service, the booster station and two semi-buried 2,000m² drinking water tanks were demolished and rebuilt. (Client: SEDIF). The site is located on the Route du Pavé des Gardes Sèvres… in the heart of the forest.
The project created a landscape immersed within the forest. Massive for the most part, three optical illusions integrated construction. First, a composition of cylindrical geometries reduces the visual impact of the volumes on the forest. Furthermore, tank walls are lined with 540 Corten steel blades (6cm wide/1.2cm thick), inclined and twisted upon themselves in visual harmony with the forest colours.
The infrastructure building, which supplies an entire Sèvres neighbourhood, takes its legitimate place within the forest massif.
